A New Name for a Bigger Vision at Samuel Omondi Ministries, Watamu, Kenya

(Watamu)  Samuel Omondi Ministries (SOM) is formally changing the name of some of its outreach ministries in Kenya.  The Breath of Heaven Children's Home will now be known as the Breath of GOD Children's Home.
Also the church will have a new name since international sponsorships from the USA, Germany and Italy have attracted new international church members whom we love very much.  The old name, Logos Miracle Celebration Center will be replaced by Jesus Miracle Celebration International Ministries.
The school, Logos Chosen Academy, will keep its name and logo.  The academy for ages 2 - 13 has grown rapidly from 20 students to 50 since January.  Our Sunday school is now at 80 children.

NEWS...Community Social Workers and youth arrive to teach vegetable planting and how to make anti-jigger treatments at Samuel Omondi Ministries

(WATAMU)  Pastors Samuel and Josephie Omondi welcome community social workers from the Wajimida organization  to Samuel Omondi Ministries.  Trained youth teach them how to use empty milk cartons to make seed planters for vegetable growing.  This will supplement nourishment to the diet of the growing children of the Breath of Heaven Children's Home.  In addition, they are taught to grind neem tree leaves in the proper fashion using a mortar and pestal to create the soapy foot baths while kill a flesh eating parasite called jiggars that had afflicted the children.
Samuel Omondi Ministries has been the hub of social welfare to the poor in Watamu offering free chiggar treatments since March. //
